We are thankful.
Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. The anticipation of pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce and the smell of the big turkey in the oven makes me salivate just thinking about it! But what I love the most is that Thanksgiving is a time for families to get together and give thanks. Several generations often meet each other, exchange joys and sorrows, share experiences and life wisdom. For the Sutton family, we have great news to share this year. We launched our company, Sutton Family Skin Care!
While we certainly know you won’t be sharing our company launch news (but if you did, that’s awesome too) this is great opportunity to share news about a new way to resolve winter skin problems. Dry, sensitive and cracked skin can run in the family. Some people have dry skin, some (lucky ones) not. But it can develop during your lifetime because of environment conditions and hormonal changes like pregnancy, or aging.
So if you are sitting around the Thanksgiving table and you want to share your superior knowledge of skin care, here is a short & sweet cheat sheet that will make you sound like an expert!
What is dry skin?
Skin, our largest organ, is multi-layer protection for our bodies. It constantly renews by growing from inside out. Inner layers of the skin keep growing, moving towards the surface. By the time they reach the very top, they die and create an almost impenetrable shield of firm cells. The outer skin layer gently sheds giving space for new skin cells. Our skin produces a very thin liquid film that protects it and prevents it from drying. But we wash our hands many times every day, stripping off our layer of defense and causing skin to feel dry.
Unfriendly conditions can cause tightness with a dry feeling. If left untreated, then it can get worse with skin cracks, redness, sensitivity and inflammation. Pain and itching are SOS signals to the brain. Luckily for you, there is a quick and easy fix to dry winter skin problems! Liquid Skin Salve comes to the rescue with naturally occurring skin conditioners like allantoin, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, essential amino acids and nutrient herbs to retain moisture to protect the epidermis. Let's restore our skin, the way it's meant to be.
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
